Stormers Swap Scrums for Sips at Hermanus Brewery
The Western Province Rugby team might be known for their strength on the field, but even the toughest players need to unwind — and where better than Hermanus.
During their winter boot camp, the team and coaches made sure to take a well-earned break to enjoy some of the town’s finest hospitality. Their destination of choice? The award-winning Hermanus Brewery, home of the much-loved Old Harbour Beer.
The brewery was abuzz with energy as the players enjoyed a night of cold beers, beer pong, and plenty of sing-alongs. Amidst all the laughter and good cheer, Di Rattle, co-owner of Hermanus Brewery, was spotted enjoying a drink with two of the Stormers’ towering talents — Chris van Zyl and Dan Kriel.
With its welcoming atmosphere and locally crafted brews, it’s no wonder Hermanus Brewery has become a favourite spot for visitors and locals alike — even some of South Africa’s rugby heroes!
